About
Welcome to the vibrant world of Churrascaria, Lanchonete e Pousada do Portal, nestled along the scenic BR-402 at km 100 in Morros, Maranhão, Brazil. This establishment is more than just a dining spot; it’s an experience steeped in culture and culinary delight. As a food reviewer for Menu Buzz, I am thrilled to introduce you to this gem that bridges the gap between traditional Brazilian churrasco and modern buffet-style dining.
From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly grilled meats wafts through the air, instantly igniting your appetite. The buffet-style setup offers a cornucopia of choices, inviting guests to create their own culinary masterpieces. As customer Daniela Cbr notes, the variety is extensive, ensuring that both adventurous eaters and those craving familiar comforts find something to savor. Imagine plates piled high with succulent cuts of meat—crispy chicken that will make your taste buds dance and a salad bar brimming with fresh vegetables. The concept is simple yet effective: pay based on the weight of your plate. It allows for flexibility and indulgence without breaking the bank, with meals averaging around R$ 60 (about $11 USD), as described by satisfied patrons.
The quality of the food speaks volumes. The grilled offerings are not only fresh but prepared with a masterful touch that enhances each ingredient's natural flavors. I found the fresh juices, an added highlight, to be the perfect complement to the rich and savory dishes. They serve as a refreshing counterpoint to the indulgence inherent in a grilled feast.

“ Good barbecue. Quick kilo. And yummy snacks. Expensive ice cream. Got the job done and more ”
“ For R$ 35 we had a great lunch on our way from Atins to São Luis: Freshly grilled meat, salad bar and one 350 ml Coca Cola. Everything was delicious. Restrooms very clean. ”
“ We loved stopping here on our way from São Luis to Barreirinhas. The food was fresh and delicious. They have a big and wide variety of everything you can think of. It’s a Buffet style place, you have all the dishes in a bar, you serve whatever you want by yourself, and in the end they just charge you whatever your plate weights. We served so much food in our plate we could barely finish it, and we paid around R $60 reals ($11usd each). They also have fresh juices that were delicious. They have a grill as well and serve churrasco style, with amazing meat cuts, my favorite was the chicken, super crispy and very tasty! Highly recommend stopping here! If you don’t have much time, they also have a cafeteria offering pastries, pizzas, sandwiches and things to go. ”
